Service Events

Events Meant to Serve our Neighborhood

over the years the WWPO has sponsored many types of service events.

Our goal is to provide something the single resident can't easily accomplish or to address a neighborhood need.

Firewise USA

An example of one such project was our involvement in Firewise USA. We participated in this federally grant funded program with Glendale FIre Dept. to promote brushfire prevention, preparedness and conduct a proactive neighborhood clean-up

Neighborhood Watch
A Shredding Day where WWPO sponsored a service to come to us and set up a station where all residents were welcome to bring their household documents for secure onsite record destruction.
Fire Patrol made up of residents that on Red Flag warning days volunteer their time to keep a closer eye on hazard areas around us.
